Above Stock has no parking facilities attached to it, but guests have the use of a car park permit for one car, which allows you to leave your car free of charge all day and overnight in the Rydal Road car park only 300 yards away.
When you arrive you can leave your car outside Above Stock for loading and unloading before parking it in the car park.
The permit is valid for the SLDC car parks in Ambleside and elsewhere in South Lakes, but not the privately run Miller Bridge car park. It is valid for any car, and must be left with us at the end of your stay for the use of the next guests. If you take it with you, you are liable for any fees that are incurred by other guests as a result. If you lose it, you are also liable for the full cost of replacing it.
